A retreat in Valchiusella

There are moments when continuing to do the same things, at the same pace, no longer helps us find answers. It can happen during a phase of change, after a loss or a separation, in front of an important decision. Or simply when we notice we are tired, overloaded, or distant from what we truly feel.

In these moments, stopping does not necessarily mean interrupting something. It can mean creating a space where what we are living becomes more readable.

A particular space: not a holiday, not necessarily psychotherapy

An individual retreat occupies a particular space. It is not simply a wellness holiday, because it is born from an intention and includes work on oneself. But it does not necessarily require beginning an ongoing psychotherapy journey.

It can be a moment within a path already begun, or a self-contained experience: a kind of check-in on your own situation, where you stop to listen to what is happening across the dimensions of Body, Mind and inner life.

The residential dimension adds something a single session can hardly offer: the time between one working moment and the next. Time to walk, rest, be silent, observe what emerges and let the experience settle.

Why Valchiusella

CasaRosada · Wren Sanctuary is located in Vidracco, in Valchiusella, among woods, water and mountains. Here nature is not just the backdrop of the retreat. Stepping out of your usual rhythms, walking, meeting the Chiusella river, or simply allowing yourself time without constantly having to fill it can become part of the experience.

In the Wren Retreats this time alternates with individual sessions, in which psychotherapy, body-oriented work, a transpersonal perspective and awareness practices can be integrated.

How to prepare for a retreat

Even packing your bag can be a small gesture of transition: choosing what you need and, at least for a few days, deciding what to leave out. You do not need much.

Bring comfortable layered clothing, shoes suitable for walking in nature, a swimsuit for the wellness spaces and a water bottle. A notebook can also be useful, to gather thoughts, sensations, questions or intuitions that emerge during the days. And you can bring something that simply makes you feel good: a book, a cream, a small personal object.

But perhaps the most interesting preparation concerns what you can try not to bring:

  • ·The need to constantly control time
  • ·A phone that is always on
  • ·A schedule to fill
  • ·The expectation of already knowing what should happen

There is no digital detox and no rigid rules: the invitation is simply to create a little more space.

Three retreats, three possible directions

We do not all arrive at a moment of change with the same need:

  • ·AURA · Vitality is born for those who feel the need to return to the body, to their resources and vitality.
  • ·NIGHT · Rest focuses on slowing down, rest and listening to your own rhythms.
  • ·GAIA · Grounding makes particular use of contact with nature and is designed for moments of passage, choice and transformation.

All Wren Retreats take place over 3 days and 2 nights and alternate individual accompaniment sessions with autonomous time for rest, nature and integration.

Before choosing

Perhaps the first question is not yet “Which retreat is right for me?”. It might be: “What would I need, if for three days I could truly stop?”. More vitality? More silence? More grounding? Or simply a space to better understand what is changing?

Sometimes recognising this need is already a first step.

You can explore AURA, NIGHT and GAIA and discover the features of the three Wren Retreats. If you do not yet know which path might suit the moment you are living, you can start with a 30-minute first orientation meeting, to focus on your need together.
